GM Consult was today engaged by SGS Economics and Planning Pty Ltd (SGS) to develop an indicative forecast of the likely capital funding needs of the City of Sydney 2030 Strategy.
Due to the conceptual nature of the Strategy, its constituent projects are in a very early stage of development. In most cases very little information other than a single paragraph description is available. GM Consult will bring some rigour to process by developing unit rates for certain types of work (e.g. a kilometre rate for converting road lanes to bus lanes or a square metre rate developing commercial type buildings) and then estimating the approximate quantities of work involved.
