GM Consult Pty Ltd (“GM Consult”) was today engaged by Parsons Brinckerhoff to undertake an assessment of the physical constraints that would affect proposed rail extensions to the future North West Rail Link (NWRL) to Rouse Hill.
The assessment will be undertaken as a desktop review of available topographical maps, cadastral information and aerial photographs. A digital elevation model on a 30 metre grid was used to extract elevation data for the various routes to allow the generation of route profiles.
The scope of this assignment is limited to the rail extension options selected for detailed appraisal in the North West Rail Link Extensions Study.
