GM Consult was today appointed by the NSW MoT to provide planning and design assistance on the South West Rail Link.
The outputs of the engagment will be used in a pre-feasibility study into corridor options to confirm whether a heavy rail extension beyond Leppington is required, and feed into the on-going planning for the South West Growth Centre (SWGC). The outputs from this study will inform more detailed feasibility assessment and assist in advising Government by the end of 2007 on the viability of an SWRL extension, including corridor protection measures required, as appropriate
